NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The Food and Drug Administration approved its first drug for erectile dysfunction (ED) in just a few months, and it has yet another product on the market to treat it.
A prescription drug for men with ED is now available for the first time in a new drug form.
The drug, called Viagra Connect, is one of the most commonly prescribed treatments for ED and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The approval will make it easier for men to take Viagra Connect and also gives a new product to treat the symptoms of erectile dysfunction. A generic version of the product, called Viagra Connect 50mg, would cost $65.99 for a 30-day supply.
The drug will also be available at a lower cost to men who are not able to take the product. It is sold in 25mg, 50mg, 100mg, and 200mg pills for $65.99.
Men who are taking Viagra Connect and have not previously taken a low-dose form of the drug will be able to take the new drug.
Viagra Connect is one of the drugs that has been approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men.
The drug was originally developed as a treatment for impotence, but it has since been approved for use as an over-the-counter drug.
The FDA has also approved the drug for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, the most common cause of death in men with ED.
A spokeswoman said: “We are pleased to continue to provide the opportunity to take the treatment for a patient with ED.
